The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection informs about the adaptation and integration of five new health certificate forms into the European TRACES NT (Trade Control and Expert System New Technology) system. This is another step that contributes to accelerating veterinary document processing procedures, increasing the transparency of processes, and strengthening the trust of EU partners in Ukrainian products.

The new certificates cover the following product categories:

  • Health certificate for gelatin and collagen not intended for human consumption, to be used as feed material or for other purposes outside the feed chain, intended for entry into or transit through (2) the European Union.
  • Health certificate for the entry into or transit (2) of processed manure and products derived from processed manure and bat guano into the European Union.
  • Health certificate for the treatment of hunting trophies from game and other preparations from birds and ungulates consisting only of bones, horns, hooves, claws, tusks, antlers, hides or skins, for entry into or transit through (2) the European Union.
  • Health certificate for bee by-products intended exclusively for use in beekeeping for entry into or transit (2) through the European Union.
  • Official certificate for the entry into the Union of collagen intended for human consumption (MODEL COL).

As noted by the Deputy Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Volodymyr Kusturov: “As of today, 29 certificate forms for various products of animal origin have already been integrated into the TRACES NT system. These steps are part of the systematic work that started in 2024. The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection will continue to ensure that national procedures comply with international standards, contributing to the safe and transparent movement of products across borders and strengthening the partnership with the European Union”.

For the convenience of users, methodological guidelines on the use of the TRACES NT system have been developed.
