The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP) was established in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated September 10, 2014 No. 442 "On Optimization of the System of Central Executive Bodies".
Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated of September 02, 2015 No. 667 approved the Regulation on the SSUFSCP. The territorial bodies of the SSUFSCP were established by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 16, 2015 No. 1092.
In order to ensure the financing of the SSUFSCP, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted the Resolution dated of January 27, 2016 No. 76-p. The structure of the SSUFSCP was approved and agreed with the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine. The staff list and budget of the SSUFSCP were approved in coordination with the Ministry of Finance.
In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated of April 6, 2016 No. 260-r "Issues of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection" the SSUFSCP has officially started its work and started to perform its functions.
