The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the National Parks Board of Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Field of Animal Health.
The document provides for the strengthening of comprehensive bilateral cooperation development between the competent authorities of Ukraine and Singapore to control, prevent and eliminate outbreaks of terrestrial and aquatic animal diseases, as well as facilitate information sharing for this cause.
As part of the Memorandum, the Parties also confirmed their intention to mutually facilitate trade in terrestrial and aquatic animals and their products in accordance with the Standards of the World Organization for Animal Health (the WOAH).
The document also provides for the possibility of exchanging information on scientific, research and technical achievements in the areas of control, prevention and elimination of animal diseases referred to in the WOAH Standards.
The signed Memorandum will help to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Singapore aimed at ensuring effective cooperation in the field of animal health, as well as trade markets diversification and the broadening of ties between the two countries.
